Shot of the Day

I love my f/1.8...

The other night I got invited by a good friend (1st image below) to see a couple folk-singers from Winnipeg play at The Main. I figured I would bring the old camera, even though the lighting conditions would likely be far from ideal.

I was shooting at close to 3200+ iso. Shutter speeds were still roughly 1/15th-1/20th of a second. Close enough. One thing (out of the many) that I love about Nikons, is their 'noise' reduction is amazing, and has a strong resemblance to film grain (when you convert to Black and White).

The show was fantastic. Tom Keenan (2nd picture below) is a fantastic singer, and for giggles capped the night off with an R.Kelly cover. We were in stitches.

I'm happy I got a few shots, felt great to take more pictures.
