Shot of the Day

Below was supposed to be an amazing shot of a Lunar Eclipse. Except well, I live in Vancouver, where the weather likes to shut down lots of photo opportunities whenever it can. Lunar Eclipse? Nah, it's gonna be cloudy instead. Parade of Lost Souls? Nah, it's gonna dump buckets of rain. And so on.

But I suppose that's life when it comes to photography. :) Sure, I was bummed about it, and will continue to get bummed about weather throwing a wrench into my plans, but at the same time, in a way, it makes me appreciate the shots I *do* get. (Plus, it keeps me on my toes)

So I think sometime early in the new year I'm going to take an intermediate photography course at VPW. Am I "ready" for it? I'm hoping so. And besides, even if some things are over my head, the instructors there are awesome enough to be able to explain it if I need to.

Another idea I mentioned earlier this month was doing weekly photo walks with other photographers. In order to simplify it, I think I will do a 'same meeting place, same day, same time' that way people get used to coming out, getting used to the schedule, and hopefully invite more and more people to come.

We'll see how that goes. And now to start work...

And then what?
