The Nicest Guy in Photography

Since I started getting more serious about photography, I first turned to the internet to educate and train me. After that I turned to in-class training (See: This article for more on that). But I digress.

In all my slogging through the fun place that is the internet, trying to find a reliable source of accurate information on photography (basic/intermediate/advanced) I was able to find this site: http://gavtrain.blogspot.com/.

Gavin Hoey is someone I'd refer to as "The Nicest Guy in Photography". His attitude towards his shooting, towards the art itself, and the fact that he takes time answering viewer questions, amazes me. If you want to see some well put together videos, see his YouTube channel and have a look around there.

Gavin certainly has an eye for his craft, and a sincere passion for it. I've been fortunate enough to meet/interact with a lot of photographers who have helped me learn, and the ones I appreciate the most are the photogs who are passionate about helping others learn (Gavin Hoey, Syx Langemann, Joe McNally, Jared Polin, etc) - it keeps my motivation high.

So take a look at Gavin's blog or ask him a question on his site or follow him on Twitter (@Gavin_Hoey)

(Stay tuned for more posts about Photographers who are great sources of information and inspiration)
